Yoga with Cats, Dogs and Other Pets Of Choice!
Join us Wednesday, May 6th and Friday, May 22nd at 6:30 on Zoom for Yoga With Cats, Dogs and Other Pets of your choice. Join Jan in exploring Yoga For Anxiety. This 60 minute class will include breath work (Pranayama) yoga postures (Asana) and meditation Dhyana) for these uncertain times.
This practice is suitable for all levels and modifications will be given. A yoga mat and yoga blocks are highly encouraged. Practicing Yoga can help in regulating our moods by tapping into our parasympathetic nervous system bringing about a sense of calm to our over-stressed mind and body.
The Topics In This Series Are:
- A brief explanation of yoga history and philosophy.
- Focus on alignment and yoga’s benefits.
- Breath work (pranayama).
- Names and practice of key postures (asanas) in many of the yoga classes students may attend in our modern world, though the practice of yoga is an ancient one.
