Tai Chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai chi is sometimes described as meditation in motion because it promotes serenity through gentle movements, connecting the mind and body. A traditional Chinese martial art practice, Tai Chi, in modern times is performed as a form of physical exercise that includes a set of movements in a gentle, graceful, and focused manner along with deep breathing.
No mats are needed, but we wear sneakers or some kind of flexible foot covering. We just need ourselves, no props unless someone wants to practice in a chair. Because of the space each individual requires, there will be room for only 6 participants.
*While this exercise is relatively easy and safe to perform, it is not recommended for people with joint pain, back problems, hernia, and pregnant women. If you have any of the above health conditions, please consult a doctor before trying Tai chi.
